Our Story

Meet the Family Behind Little Villages Play Café

Hi! I'm Holly Middleton, the owner of Little Villages Play Café.

The most meaningful role I've ever had is being a wife and mother. For the past 16 years, I've had the incredible privilege of being a stay-at-home mom, where my days have been filled with organizing playdates, planning birthday parties, hosting family events, and creating magical childhood memories for my own children and countless others.

Children have always been my passion. I believe they deserve spaces where they feel safe, encouraged, celebrated, and free to simply be kids.

As a mother of four, I also understand firsthand the joys—and the challenges—that come with raising a family. Little Villages Play Café was born from my own experiences and the needs I encountered throughout motherhood. It isn't just a business to me—it's my heart. It's my opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.

This dream has truly become a family mission.

My youngest son, Kelvin, proudly serves as our Chief Play Officer. He joins us during select play sessions, helps test new toys, and even assists in planning our weekly science experiments, sensory activities, and hands-on projects. His excitement and creativity inspire so much of what we do, and he loves being part of the Little Villages family.

My older children, Magnolia and Trott, also jump in whenever they can, especially during our popular Date Night events. While I will always be on-site overseeing every Date Night, they help create an energetic, welcoming atmosphere that children love.

And then there's my husband, Aaron Middleton—my biggest supporter and partner in every sense. Aaron is a Certified Financial Planner® professional with Prudential, a retired United States Marine Corps Major, and one of the most selfless people I know. His leadership, integrity, and unwavering encouragement have helped turn this dream into reality.

Why Little Villages Exists

Little Villages Play Café was created because I know what families need—not just from research, but from living it everyday.

I remember wishing there were more affordable options for childcare so my husband and I could enjoy an occasional date night without the overwhelming cost of hiring a private babysitter. Every couple deserves time to reconnect, recharge, and invest in their relationship. Strong families begin with strong relationships, and our Date Night Drop-Off program was designed to make that possible.

I remember longing for opportunities to connect with other moms who understood the beautiful chaos of parenthood. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but many parents today are searching for that village. Through our playgroups, events, and community gatherings, we hope to help families build meaningful friendships and lasting support systems.

I also know how difficult it can be to pull children away from screens. That's why we've intentionally created a vibrant environment filled with imaginative play, hands-on learning, sensory experiences, science experiments, music, crafts, and activities that spark curiosity. We want children to leave inspired—not entertained by a device, but engaged by the world around them.

Grandparents are another group close to my heart. They treasure time with their grandchildren but often don't have the space to store toys or create elaborate play areas at home. Little Villages provides a place where grandparents can simply arrive, play, laugh, and create memories together without the hassle.

Our Morning Playtime, VPK Club, and seasonal programming are all thoughtfully designed to meet these needs and serve families in every stage of early childhood.

Celebrating Childhood

Every child deserves to feel celebrated.

Too often, birthday parties become expensive and overwhelming. We wanted to create a place where families can host joyful, memorable celebrations without spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

At Little Villages, birthdays are about laughter, friendship, imagination, and making children feel incredibly special—not about breaking the family budget.

More Than a Play Space

At Little Villages, children won't just find toys—they'll discover opportunities.

Every visit is designed to encourage creativity, exploration, problem-solving, social interaction, and confidence through activities like:

  • Imaginative pretend play

  • Hands-on sensory experiences

  • Weekly science experiments

  • Arts and crafts

  • Music and movement

  • Interactive learning activities

  • Seasonal events and themed experiences

Everything we do is centered around creating joyful moments while making life a little easier for the people who care for children every day.

Our greatest hope is that every family who walks through our doors feels welcomed, supported, and valued.

More PLAY Than Café

Despite our name, Little Villages Play Café is intentionally more PLAY than café.

Our focus has always been creating an extraordinary indoor play experience where children can learn, explore, and connect.

While we offer a selection of light snacks and beverages, we also welcome families to bring their own food and drinks. We want your visit to be comfortable, affordable, and stress-free.

Our Promise

Little Villages Play Café isn't just a place to spend some time.

It's a place where children are celebrated, parents are supported, grandparents are welcomed, friendships are formed, and community grows.

It's the village I wished for while raising my own children—and now, it's my privilege to help build that village for yours.

We can't wait to welcome your family to our Little Village. 💕
